Our Story
The Lebanese people are in crisis and need your help. A culmination of events including hyper inflation and the effects of the pandemic and lockdowns has resulted in an inability to afford essentials. Prior to passing away from post-Covid complications, Elias “Louis” Mazloum was supporting families from the village he grew up in, in the Matn region of Lebanon. Louis was helping families buy food, clothing and medicine. We have set up this memorial foundation to continue his philanthropic efforts and to honour his legacy.
Our Mission
We provide direct relief to people living in poverty, sickness and distress in the Matn region of Lebanon. This relief will initially come in the form of money for necessities - food, clothing and medicine. Our long term goal is to encourage lasting transition out of poverty for the Lebanese people of the Matn region. We aim to achieve this by creating an education and medical fund to support families who are unable to access urgent medical care or to afford school fees. Through the fundraising process, we hope to promote greater awareness of the plight of Lebanese people living in poverty, sickness and distress.
